This summer, we have the chance to give back to our community. As families prepare for the school year, their financial needs become more apparent. We can bring relief and encouragement by providing some practical needed items. Love INC is a local organization that helps families in need, and we are partnering with them this summer to support families in our community with personal care items and sneakers.

Personal Care Closet Most Needed Items:

• Shampoo

• Mouthwash

• Ladies Deodorant

• Hand Soap

• Sunscreen (SPF 30+)

• Dishwasher Pods

• Tissues

• Hand soap

• Feminine Hygiene Pads

Love INC needs 300+ pairs of new, name-brand sneakers for both girls and boys. General sizes needed are:

• Boys’ 11-6

• Men’s 7-14

• Girls’ 11-4

• Women’s 5-10 in standard and wide widths.

Personal care items and sneakers can be dropped off in the blue lobby during July & August!

Summer Rest and Reset | Sundays in July

During July, there will be no traditional CORE, KidStep, Connect Groups, or worship services. Instead, at 9 AM, everyone is invited to the elective, Around the World in 4 Weeks. Each week, a different missionary will share their experience in the mission field. (See the next page for more details!) Then, we will have one combined worship service at 10:30 AM. There are several reasons for these changes in July. The simplest is that it’s vacation season, there are fewer people and volunteers, and it’s nice to have everyone worshiping together in the sanctuary. It’s also a chance for us, as a church, to have a rhythm of rest and give our ministries time to reset and prepare for the fall. We encourage families to worship together and are excited to see multiple generations together.

We will end the month of July with an all-church picnic on July 27 at 12 PM in the back parking lot.

Rest and Reset Retreat | Saturday, July 19 | 9 to 11:30 AM | Sanctuary Lobby

In July, our church is focusing on the practice of Rest and Reset. Sunday sermons will touch on this theme, and we want to give you the opportunity to practice what this could look like in your life. Join us in the sanctuary lobby as we concentrate on rest, renewal, and silence. Participants will be able to go outside or find a quiet place inside the church to pray, journal, and engage in reflective stations. Note: Please bring your Bible and a journal if you regularly use one. Register for the retreat byuly 16.
