CORE
CORE is our student ministry program for middle and high school students. Our vision for ministry is to be an encouraging community of disciples sent to build the kingdom of God. We exist to be a fun, encouraging, and discipleship-oriented environment for all students.
What to Expect
Sundays
Both middle and high school meet on Sundays at 10:30 AM in the auditorium, where we have snacks, games, teaching, community, table discussions, and, of course, candy. We have awesome teachers and table leaders who will help our students think deeper about their faith and how to practically apply it to their lives and their spheres of influence. Our purpose for Sundays is to be a learning environment that equips and challenges students with the essentials to be a committed disciple maker beyond high school. CORE will not meet over the summer. Join us as we kick-off the new school year on Sunday, September 13!
Wednesdays
Middle and high school students meet from 6:45 to 8:45 PM on Wednesdays, but in different locations within Hershey Free Church. We have an awesome cafe (check out our chocolate chip cookies), games, chill spaces, dynamic speakers and small group leaders, and a whole lot of fun. CORE is meeting over the summer for two summer nights only. Check out the schedule below under For Students.
For Parents
CORE Leaders Needed!
Do you love GagaBall? Do chocolate chip cookies make your mouth water? Does laughing bring joy to your heart? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We need 6th-grade guy leaders for this coming school year. This is a year-long opportunity to lead a dedicated small group (6th-grade guys) on Wednesday nights throughout the school year. You will have a dedicated co-leader, be trained and equipped, and provided with all the necessary resources to help you lead your small group each week.
Can't lead on a Wednesday night? Don't worry, we also need Sunday morning table leaders! Sunday morning leaders help guide and facilitate discussion with students at their tables. We will also train you and provide you with all necessary resources to help lead the table discussion. This opportunity is more flexible and does not need to be a weekly commitment.

CORE Parent Connect | Sundays | 10:30 AM | T-Wing: Room 403
Each Sunday at 10:30 AM, parents of children who attend CORE have the opportunity to connect for Bible study and fellowship. We share so many of the same joys, as well as challenges, as we seek to lead our students to know and love Jesus better. CORE Parent Connect will not meet over the summer. We will start meeting again on Sunday, September 13!
Grocery Cards for Giant
Earn money for student trips by purchasing grocery gift cards for Giant! For each gift card purchased, 5% of the total will be added to a student account for future CORE trips (including Winterblast and summer mission trips). Cards are available in $50 or $100 denominations and can be purchased by debit or credit card. Grocery cards can be picked up from Deb Webster in the receptionist office during business hours or from Bridget during CORE.

CORE will not meet regularly on Wednesdays over the summer. Join us for the CORE kick-off on Wednesday, September 9.
CORE Summer Nights | August 5 | 6:45 - 8:45 | Back Parking Lot
All students and families, including incoming 6th graders, are invited to join us for our final summer night on Wednesday, August 5. We will be meeting in the back parking lot under the tent from 6:45-8:45pm. Come join us for food, fun, fellowship, and connecting opportunities. We will provide the main dish (hot dogs and hamburgers) and drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Passage Ceremony | Sunday, September 13 | 12 PM | Auditorium
The Passage Ceremony is an opportunity for us to encourage our incoming 6th and 9th grade students as they prepare to enter the next phase of their faith journey. We recognize that starting middle school and high school are new phases for students and families, and that they can be times when students are feeling all different ways. Our goal is to walk with students and families in the discipleship process and to provide intentionally meaningful opportunities to engage with key developmental moments in the lives of students. The Passage Ceremony provides an opportunity for us to encourage, bless, and walk with students through an intentionally designed ceremony. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by September 6.
