We want to help foster in people a passion for Jesus Christ that moves them to declare and demonstrate the gospel to their neighbors, the region, and the nations. Long-term missionaries accomplish meaningful gospel ministry, deepen relationships with partners, and see lasting spiritual growth in team members' lives, to the glory of God. Hershey Free Church partners with one of our missionaries for a fixed period of time towards mutually established goals that neither of us could accomplish independently. We have chosen to focus on partnerships that reach out to unreached people with the gospel (an unreached people group is one where less than 2% of the population follow Christ).
Tanzania
We are working with Dr. Jon and Melissa Eager, sent out from Hershey Free in 2005. Tanzania is a diverse country in East Africa with a number of unreached people groups. Together with the Eagers, we’ll be working with the majority Muslim Rangi people to help establish thriving churches in an area where a national partner is currently working.

Short-Term Trip Zoom Calls
Hershey Free Church values making a difference in both our local communities and globally. Short-term teams offer individuals a chance to serve alongside our global partners. You will deepen relationships with those on your team and have meaningful gospel ministry in a cross-cultural environment. These trips also serve as a way to strengthen your faith as you see God at work around the world. If you are interested in learning more about trips, join David Craft at a monthly Zoom meeting every 2nd Tuesday at 7:30 PM.
New York City Short-Term Mission Trip | August 27-31
One of our long-term missionary partners, Valerie Althouse, is inviting a team from Hershey Free to join her in NYC. Through opportunities to serve, pray, and learn in the heart of New York City, participants will gain a deeper perspective on ministry among international students and how God is moving in global cities. Designed to help participants step outside their comfort zones, this trip invites them to discover God’s heart for the city and the nations represented there through prayer walking, serving at outreach events, assisting with practical projects, and practicing basic conversational skills with international students. Tanzania Short-Term Mission Trip | November, 2026
A team from our church will travel to Kinyasi Majengo village, Tanzania, to partner with missionaries Jon and Melissa Eager and Cloud and Dina Roman. Led by David Craft, the team of eight will conduct a 5-day medical outreach at the new maternity clinic, providing care to the Rangi people, a mostly unreached group. In addition to medical services, the team will provide pastoral counseling and evangelism, combining physical and spiritual care within the community. Submit your interest below. Forms close 5/1.
